Exenta - Color Set up Process for 3rd Party Goods
A set range of Color Codes have been designated for the set up of Color Codes for 3rd Party Goods in Exenta.
The range of Color Codes is Z0001 through Z9999.
**When setting up new Color Codes in Exenta, you will need to start with finding the next available code to start assigning your colors to**
To do this, you will need to go to the Color Reference.
To find the Color Reference, log into Exenta, go to Reference -> Style -> Color

Once the Color Reference screen is opened,
- Click on the FIND button in the header (funnel icon)
- Click on the CLEAR FILTER button in the header (paintbrush icon)
- Enter Z01* as the filter into the Color field
- Enter = as the filter into the NRF Color field
- Click on the APPLY FILTER button in the header (binoculars icon)

The results that match your search criteria will be retrieved. If there are more than 30 records that match your search criteria, you will need to click on the PAGING button in the header, and then select the SHOW ALL option from the dropdown. Once you do this all of the records matching your search criteria will be displayed. Identify the last used Color Code in the Z0001 through Z9999 sequence. In the below example, the next available Color Code is Z0005.

Once you are ready to start creating the new Color Code, click on the NEW button in the header (page icon with a + sign in the upper left corner).

Start entering your data as follows:
- Make sure the Color Flag is set to “S” for Style (Do not use “D”, which is for Design).
- Enter the Color Code you will be assigning to this new color in the Color field (it should be the next available Color Code in the sequence). This field is sent to Shopify in the “Style Item Export to Shopify”
- Enter the Short Color Desc - This field is sent to Shopify in the “Style Item Export to Shopify” and has a max length of 30 characters in Exenta. Please do not use commas (,) or pipes (|) in this field. Once you fill in this field and tab out of it the value will be populated to the Color Description (A) and Color Name (B) fields.
- Right-click in the Color Group field. This will bring up the available options for the Color Group. Double click on the value you want to assign to the color and te Color Group Code will populate. This field is sent to Shopify in the “Style Item Export to Shopify”
- In the Legacy Color field, enter the word SHOPIFY
- Click on the SAVE button at the top of the screen to save the record (floppy disk icon).
