PLM to Exenta: Design Adoption - Design Main Material Content Vs. Style Content

Modified on: Wed, Dec 18 2024 9:54 AM

Starting with the Fall 2025 collection...

If the Design's Style Content is different than the Design's Design Main Material Content, then the Production Team will update the Style Content in PLM and update this data in Exenta via Design Adoption/ReAdoption.

It is best practice for the Production Team to enter this information in PLM prior to Initial Design Adoption so that correct data pushes to Exenta during Initial Design Adoption.

However, if the correct Style Content data is not entered in PLM prior to Initial Design Adoption, the Production Team should update the Style Content in PLM and re-adopt the Design in order to update this data in Exenta.

If the correct "Style Content" option exists on drop down list, it is best practice to select and use.

If the correct "Style Content" option needs to be added to the list, follow below steps to successfully add:

1. Navigate to the Design Attribute "Content Codes" list, follow link: https://veronicabeard.plmrevo.com/setup/attributes/content-codes

2. At this point, utilize the filter to check once more if the content code you need exists.

*If the value of the Content Code Name is the same as what you are planning on adding in, use what is there.

E.g. If the style content you need is 100% COTTON, do not add in another option that reads 100% COTTON.

Instead, utilize existing option. It is ok that the code is shared.

3.A the top right of the page, click "New Content Code" ()

4. Upon clicking "New Content Code" you will navigate to the below imaged screen.

At this point fill out as below.

Ensure that:

  • You type in ALL CAPS
  • That the "value" or content sum equals 100
  • There are no additional punctuation marks
  • The FIBER NAME used is not abbreviated or a "nickname," and is approved to be used.
  • "Default" is set to NO.
  • The "code" is 10 characters. (User should manually type next sequential Code, between SC0000000000 - SC9999999999)
  • The "name" does not exceed 500 characters.

5. Then click "Save & Close"

Congratulations, you have successfully created a new Content Code that can now be utilized to assign Style Contents:
