PLM to Exenta Design Adoption: Design Color - Assigning a Label [Exclusive Label] to a Design Color
As of 08/01/2024.
System Mapping:
"PLM: DESIGN> DESIGN COLOR> FIELD: EXCLUSIVE LABEL" = "ERP: STYLE MASTER> STYLE [COLOR] DETAIL> FIELD: LABEL"
-
"PLM: DESIGN> DESIGN COLOR> FIELD: EXCLUSIVE LABEL"
-
"ERP: STYLE MASTER> STYLE [COLOR] DETAIL> FIELD: LABEL"
Assigning a Label [Exclusive Label] to a Design Color BEFORE INITIAL DESIGN ADOPTION:
Before INITIAL DESIGN ADOPTION, once Design profiles are built out in PLM, the PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT TEAM is responsible for entering "LABEL" DATA in PLM.
This data will be entered at the Design Color Line level (imaged below):

Upon INITIAL DESIGN ADOPTION, this "EXCLUSIVE LABEL" DATA will flow from PLM, and drive the "LABEL DATA" to appropriate fields in Exenta (ERP).

The EXCLUSIVE LABEL field is to be filled out & managed in PLM only.
It is imperative that this relationship be established BEFORE INITIAL DESIGN ADOPTION.
If this relationship is NOT established BEFORE INITIAL DESIGN ADOPTION, please see below.
Assigning a Label [Exclusive Label] to a Design Color AFTER INITIAL DESIGN ADOPTION:
I.e. Anything that changes to an exclusive after initial design adoption.
***If a style color is adopted to Exenta WITH A LABEL, instead of WITHOUT A LABEL, follow the same steps outlined below in order to make the duplicative (& outdated) style color detail line in Exenta INACTIVE.
After INITIAL DESIGN ADOPTION, if an Exclusive Label is assigned to a design/style color which has already been adopted to Exenta, the PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT TEAM is responsible for entering "LABEL" DATA in PLM.
This data will be entered at the Design Color Line level (imaged below):

The PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT TEAM should then alert the PRODUCTION TEAM that the UPDATE has been made in PLM.
At this point, PLM will have the LABEL associated at the Design Color Level, and Exenta ERP will not:

The PRODUCTION TEAM is then responsible for "RE-ADOPTING" the design.
Upon a successful "DESIGN RE-ADOPTION," in Exenta there will be 2 Style Detail Color Lines WITH THE SAME COLOR CODE; 1 with the label, 1 without the label.

The PRODUCTION TEAM is then responsible for manually adjusting the duplicative (& outdated) style color detail line in Exenta - CHANGING THE STATUS FROM "A" TO "I."
To manually adjust the color detail line in Exenta:
- Click on the line you wish to adjust (it will be highlighted in BLUE.) Next, click the "Edit Detail Record" button.

- Upon clicking the "Edit Detail Record" button, "Style Color Zoom" window will pop up. On this screen, change the Status from "A" to "I." Then click "OK."

Once complete, click "Save" at the top of the "Style Master" window.

Upon completion, the 2 Style Detail Color Lines in Exenta will look like below.
At this stage, you have successfully assigned a Label to a design/style color which had already been adopted to Exenta.
