PLM: Design Adoption - Entering & Updating Cost Related Fields
As of 07/22/2024.
Once Design profiles are built out in PLM, the PRODUCTION TEAM (*or Handbag Team) is responsible for entering COST RELATED DATA in PLM and adopting the design from PLM to Exenta, in order to drive that COST DATA to appropriate fields in Exenta (ERP).
The COST RELATED fields to be filled out & managed in PLM are:
WHOLESALE PRICE
RETAIL PRICE
COST
The configurations between PLM and Exenta are set as follows:
PLM: WHOLESALE PRICE > ERP: Wholesale (PriceA)
PLM: RETAIL PRICE > ERP: Retail (PriceB)
PLM: COST > ERP: Std Cost (PriceC)
After INITIAL DESIGN ADOPTION, if data in any of these ERP fields needs to be revised/ updated, a user is to update the information in PLM & "readopt" the design in order to drive the updated information to ERP.
Upon a successful design "readoption," this data will UPDATE in ERP as long as the value entered in PLM is greater than $0.00. (*This is a SAFE GUARD built into our process to ensure any data entered in ERP [prior to 07/22/2024] is not WIPED upon a design's re-adoption.)
Where to ENTER COST DATA in PLM:
WHOLESALE PRICE & RETAIL PRICE:
- At the design overview level. *A user can also fill this information out in the design overview, but utilizing the mass update feature at the Design Library > List view.

COST: At the design color level.

*Please note, at present (7/22/2024,) when a design is “copied” and design color(s) are included in the copying of design, if “cost” information is entered at the design color level this information will flow to the new design. Before initial design adoption, the users responsible for marking the design "ready," are to check & ensure this information (as well as all other information) is correct in PLM.
*If “cost” is not known at time of “initial design adoption,” ensure data entered is “$0.00.”
