PLM: Material Overview - Creating a New Material via Copying A Material
In PLM, you have the ability to create a new material by "copying" from an existing material.
In order to create a new material via "copying" an existing material follow the below steps.
OPTION 1: Copy a Material from within the Material Library
1. Identify the material you want to "copy" from.

2. At the top right corner of the material card, click the vertical button with 3 vertical dots:

3. After clicking the button, the below drop down option will slide out. Then click "Copy."

4. After clicking "Copy," the below screen will pop up. From here, check the items that should be copied. Then click "Submit."

5. After clicking submit, a PLM pop up will notify you that your request is in "queue."

6. Moments later, you will receive a notification alert at the top right of your screen:

7. When you click this icon (
), the Notification Tab will slide out.
8. At the top of the tap, you will see a message notifying you that the design copied successfully. You can then click this notification.

9. Upon clicking the notification, the system will navigate you to the newly created (copied from) material.

Congratulation, you have successfully created a new material via "copying a material."
OPTION 2: Copy a Material from within the Material Overview Page
1. Identify the material you want to "copy" from and navigate to the Material Overview.

2. At the top right of the page, click the "copy."

3. After clicking "Copy," the below screen will pop up. From here, check the items that should be copied. Then click "Submit."

4. After clicking submit, a PLM pop up will notify you that your request is in "queue."

5. Moments later, you will receive a notification alert at the top right of your screen:
