PLM: Building Out BOMs in PLM - Reordering Materials on a BOM
When building out a BOM in PLM, there are 2 ways you can reorder materials.
**Please note that you can ONLY REORDER materials on a BOM, if you are on the BOM > MATERIALS TAB.
The first way to reorder Materials on a BOM, works best when you have less than 25 material lines (1 page) on the BOM.
1. Open a BOM, hover over the below outlined section of the material you would like to move.
2. When you do, the below icon will appear. When you see this icon, click and hold.
3. You will now be able to move this material anywhere on the same page of the BOM.
The second way to reorder Materials on a BOM, can be utilized when you have 25+ material lines (2 or more pages) on the BOM.
1. Open a BOM, and click the "Reorder" button outlined in green below.
2. You will then be led to below page, where you can drag & drop all materials from the BOM in which ever order is preferred.
In order to drag & drop, hover over the below outlined section of the material you would like to move.
When you do, the below icon will appear. When you see this icon, click and hold.
You will now be able to move this material anywhere on the BOM.
3. Once your materials are in the correct order, click submit.
The order of the materials on the BOM will now reflect the changes you've made.
