PLM: Building Out BOMs in PLM - PROTO & SMS DEVELOPMENT BOMs - Material Color "MATCH COLOR TO: SEE BOM COMMENTS"
When associating material colors on the color tab of a PROTO or SMS DEVELOPMENT BOM, and when the material color is TBD/TBC but you can indicate a color from elsewhere on the BOM to match that material color to, use the color (M0149) "MATCH COLOR TO: SEE BOM COMMENTS".
When you use this color, indicate the color to match the material to under the "BOM COMMENTS" column on the BOM material tab.
By SMS DEVELOPMENT BOM scrub & pass off (from PD Team to Production Team), all correct material colors must be associated with materials and associated with correct design color on BOM.
The material color (M0149) "MATCH COLOR TO: SEE BOM COMMENTS" is NOT to be used when passing BOMs to Production Team.
